Orlando – FL, USA, Oct 21, 2014 – Jetex, the Dubai-based ground handling and trip planning company, has officially launched operations in the US market. Its US office, located adjacent to Miami International Airport, will expand on the company’s global reputation for world-class FBOs, trip planning, concierge and fuel services.
The decision to enter the lucrative yet competitive North American market was made based on feedback from US and international customers. Following a significant increase in US-based customers, Jetex saw having a US office as a strategic opportunity to expand its global network and provide stateside customers with a more direct connection to its operations team.
The Miami location will offer the full-range of Jetex support services, including trip planning, handling, permissions, flight plans and fuel, along with general logistics and concierge-related services. Specifically designed to meet the needs of the US customer, the new location will be staffed with native English speaking Flight Support Specialists providing world-class customer service.
“The Miami office will serve as an important hub in our international network,” says Regional Sales Manager Heather Satchwell. “Not only does it give our US customers local access to our services, it provides all customers with a strategic gateway into North America and easy access to both Latin and South America.”
To ensure US customers enjoy the same array of around-the-clock services they have come to expect from the Jetex brand, the company is relocating some of its certified dispatchers and customer service staff to the Miami location.
“Jetex is unique in that we combine trip planning with an extensive network of company-owned support offices and FBOs around the world,” says Manager of North American Business Development Caterina Taylor. “This is especially an advantage for US operators who can rest assured that no matter where they are going, Jetex will have someone who speaks both their language and the local language.”
It is this expertise in international handling that sets Jetex apart from domestic trip planning providers. Coupled with such value-added benefits as access to Honeywell’s Global Data Center (GDC) Flight Support Services, US customers will benefit from Jetex’s worldwide support package – all from the comfort of their own backyard.
“Honeywell and Jetex are responding to increasing customer demand for critical flight support and innovative international trip services, and the opening of the Miami office allows us to bring these services closer to the customer,” says Honeywell Aerospace Vice President of Aerospace Services Michael Edmonds.
The opening of the Miami office is the first step in the company’s US strategy. It plans to continue to expand its North American footprint, and has chosen the occasion of NBAA to announce its entry into the US market – emphasizing its commitment to being an active NBAA member. Jetex regularly participates in NBAA forums and events, including the International Operator’s Conference, and is already looking to grow its US sales, marketing and operations staff.
